What can i do with left over turkey.any good recipes.?

turkey pot pie


I use a pre-made pie crust from the dairy section.


1 lb cooked turkey, cubed


1 box frozen mixed veggies


1/2 cup sliced celery


1/3 cup butter


1/3 cup all purpose flour


1 small onion, chopped


salt n pepper to taste


1 small can chicken or turkey broth


2/3 cup milk





preheat oven to 425F


add frozen veggies and celery to small saucepan and add water to cover and boil 15 minutes. drain, stir in turkey and set aside.


in another saucepan over med heat cook onions in butter until translucent and soft. stir in flour and spices. slowly stir in broth and milk. simmer over med/low heat until thick.


place chicken mixture in bottom pie crust and pour gravy over top. cover with top crust, seal edges. make several slits on top crust to allow steam to escape.


bake 30-35 minutes. cool 10 minutes before serving.What can i do with left over turkey.any good recipes.?
Substitute chicken for turkey and make Turkey Noodle Soup





2 (14.5 ounce) cans chicken broth


3 cups water


1 3/4 cups sliced carrots


1/2 cup chopped onion


2 celery ribs, sliced


1 (12 ounce) package frozen egg noodles


3 cups chopped cooked turkey


1 (10 ounce) package frozen peas


2 (1 ounce) packages instant chicken gravy mix


1/2 cup cold water








In a large saucepan, bring the broth, water, carrots, onion and celery to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 4-6 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Add the noodles. Simmer, uncovered for 20 minutes or until noodles are tender.





Stir in turkey and peas. Combine gravy mixes and cold water until smooth; stir into soup. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.What can i do with left over turkey.any good recipes.?
Turkey Paprika always works good with left overs.


It's not a diet thing so the ingredients are:


Take a pat of butter and melt then sautee mushrooms and onions in a large frying pan. When the onions are tender add 2 -3 cups of cut up left over turkey until its warm. Then add a cup to 2 cups of sour cream and when that is all warmed sprinkle with paprika and serve on a bed of cooked noodles. .Totally Yummy!
do Kentucky Hot Browns


* 3 ounces turkey breast, roasted, sliced


* 1 slice toasted white bread


* 2 slices tomato


* 2 slices bacon, cooked and drained


* Sauce:


* 2 ounces butter


* 3 ounces flour


* 3/4 cup cream


* 1/4 cup milk


* 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, grated


* salt and white pepper to taste





Preparation:


Heat butter and add flour. Whisk and slowly cook for 5 minutes. Whisk in cream and milk and heat. Whisk in cheese until melted. Season. Simmer for 30 minutes. Sauce should be very thick.





Quarter toast and place in an oven safe dish. Top with turkey and tomatoes. Cover well with sauce. Bake at 400%26amp;deg for 10 minutes. Garnish with bacon.

Good old fashioned turkey soup.


Ingredients


Celery chopped


Carrots diced


garlic chopped


Onion chopped


Tomatoes lchopped


Parsley chopped


Pepper %26amp; Salt


Turkey frame %26amp; turkey meat


2 Chicken stock cubes


Add water to cover everything and simmer for two hours


You will have the tastiest soup ever. Add some small noodles or thin pasta to soup and top with grated cheese.
As a kid, my mother and I would always eat our leftover turkey for lunch. We would have shredded or cubed cold turkey, served with mayo and lemon pepper seasoning for dipping. I still eat it to this day. Delicious!
Take the turkey and make pot pies w pie crust.





you can also mix turkey w cream of mushroom and pour over warmed biscuits..
