Ooh! I am not a turkey person at all. But my husband taught me a simple way to do next day turkey: All those little bitty pieces left on the platter and some more cuttings, along with some stuffing and maybe leftover veggies (green beans, carrots, etc) can be fried up in a little bit of canola oil until the turkey and stuffing are tender/crisp. It's a great breakfast, and a side dish with an egg if you would like. What is the best recipe for leftover turkey?
salad or hot turkey and gravey over mashed potatoes or bread

slice up turkey and put in pan

Add water 1-3 cups depending on how much turkey

heat until boil

mix 2-3 table spoons of corn starch in cold water

slowly add to turkey

heat until slight boil

will thicken as it cools

If it is not thick enough you can heat up and add more or heat up and add more water if too thick.

I am having this for lunch today:

HEARTY TURKEY BAKE

3 cups mashed potatoes

1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese

1 1/2 cups turkey, cooked and chopped

1 1/2 cups mixed veggies, thaw and drain

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1/4 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon dry mustard

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 375潞F. Prepare a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish with cooking spray.

In a mixing bowl, combine mashed potatoes and 1/2 cup cheese. Spoon potato mixture into prepared dish. Using back of spoon, spread potatoes across bottom and up sides of dish to form a shell.

In another mixing bowl, combine turkey, vegetables, soup, milk, mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper.

Pour over potato shell.

Bake for 30 minutes. Top with remaining cheese and bake 3 minutes more or until cheese has melted.

jamie oliver did a nice turkey leek and ham pie on tv, if you go to bbc.co.uk/food I expect there are plenty of ideas. you can choose by recipe, chef, ingredients, theres loads on there, something is bound to tickle your fancy!

Ive made a curry and frozen it in batches. my husband likes it hot hot hot, so he can defrost it and add more chilli.
Dice up all the turkey meat and rub with curry powder and some corriander. Using alittle oil with salt and pepper will help too.

Seal off in a pan and chuck in all the ingredients for a good curry.

Its makes a nice change to someting festive.

We are actually having Turkey Fajitas later so i can proove a point that turkey isnt boring to my girlfriend.
turkey curry is always good get lots of friends together and have a curry party you will use it up in no time. make a big pan of turkey curry and rice and ask people to bring things like poppadoms and chutney. also a bit of fun.
it's got to be curry!

something where you can make a sauce and put the turkey in it and warm through as it is already cooked, so you do not need to cook it anymore.
I'm on board with the chef salad with turkey, we also add it to rice %26amp; veggies. Sometimes we snack on it instead of crackers/cookies not eating too much since it's tends to be dry.
cream turkey on toast!!!!!!! oh yeah that's so good

I don't know what the recipe is but it can't be hard to find.

A lot of people call it ';sh!t on a shingle.';
What about using the left-over meat in a stew - lovely this time of year as it warms you up !
Forget all the heavy stuff, Make a sandwich......Crusty bread,... a few onions and masses of mayo. Wine optional. Enjoy
Curry.
make a chicken Cesar salad but with turkey
Curry, never fails !!
Fkin hate the mountains of tasteless cotton wool. Try a duck next year. Incidentally, the tasteless cotton wool comes from some turkey Treblinka. Wild turkey is delicious.

Later - this is my message to the h 8-ers:

turkey is the choice of all the rapacious British Scrooges who want to keep serving leftover turkey day after day.

But I'd say, if you've got through your cold meat with hot veg, and then your sandwiches, you could put the rest in a soup
