Quick and Easy Deep Dish Turkey Pot Pie Recipe





DEEP DISH TURKEY (OR CHICKEN) POT PIE





This recipe takes about 10 minutes to make and 30 minutes to bake.





1 2/3 cups hot water


1 pkg (6-oz) stuffing mix (your favorite)


3 cups chopped or shredded cooked turkey (or chicken)


1 pkg (10-oz) frozen mixed vegetables, thawed


1 jar (12-oz) turkey (or chicken) gravy





Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a 2-qt casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.





Add the hot water to the stuffing mix, stir just until moistened and set aside.





Place the turkey (or chicken) and the vegetables in the prepared casserole dish. Pour gravy over the top and stir gently to mix. Top mixture with the prepared stuffing.





Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes until heated through and stuffing mixture is lightly browned.





Note: You have meat, vegetables, and grains all in one dish. Add a simple salad, fresh fruit, etc and you have a tasty, quick, easy meal.





Best Turkey Burgers Recipe





8 ounces ground turkey breast


1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro


1/3 cup bread crumbs


3 tablespoons dijon mustard


1 large egg, beaten


dash of salt


ground pepper, to taste





Directions


Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Shape into 4 even-sized patties.


Place burgers on an oiled grate, and grill over medium heat until they reach an internal temperature of 165F. Serve with whole-grain hamburger buns
Turkey/Spaghetti Casserole. Into cooked, drained spaghetti add 2-3 cups chopped turkey, one cup sliced mushrooms, one cup frozen green peas and one can of cream of mushroom soup and one can cream of chicken soup. Mix well, pour into casserole dish. Cover with buttered bread crumbs and bake until brown and bubbly.
* Mine starts out with a 12 Ga. #5 shot put through an extra-full choke.


No matter how you prepare that wild turkey, it's better for you than the farm-raised bird that's stuffed with chemicals hat keep the feed stable or make the bird artificially large, and drugs that plump the critter and cure its afflictions it got in that cramped pen.
Here is one of my favorites for ground turkey cabbage wraps.


I heat sesame oil in a pan and add garlic and a serrano pepper cook for a few min then add my ground turkey. When it is close to cooked I add fresh basil, soy sauce, fish sauce, chili paste, and any other ingredients I have on hand. I peel the cabbage leaves into big pieces and put a little turkey mixture on each leaf. I usually dip it in a soy sauce rice wine vinger mixture. But trust me soooooooo yumm!!!
Grilled turkey Ruben's. Just take your classic Ruben sandwich and substitute turkey breast for the corned beef in the classic version.
